Turn your Jewish knowledge (however much or little) into someone else's treasure and feel that giver's high.
Experience the thrill of seeing Judaism through curious eyes that make familiar texts feel extraordinary.
Develop friendships that transcend ordinary relationships and touch the deepest parts of who you are.
We pair curious Jews with knowledgeable mentors for
meaningful learning,
shared growth, and real connection.
Once matched, partners meet for 30–45 minutes each week via phone or video chat to explore any Jewish topic they choose. Some partners like to prep, others just show up and learn. There’s no pressure— just two people talking, learning, and exploring Judaism together.

I signed up thinking it would be a small way to give back—just 30 minutes a week. My first partner was a woman in her 50s, full of honest questions and curiosity. Over time, our learning shifted her perspective. Years later, she told me she was ready. I had the honor of being with her when she went to the mikveh—for the first time in her life. That moment is etched in my soul.

As a teacher, I joined hoping to share what I knew. I worried I might not have all the answers—but I quickly learned that “I don’t know” is a doorway to even deeper learning. Over time, I’ve gained not just knowledge in Torah and hashkafa, but also meaningful friendships. My chavrusas have taught me as much as I’ve taught them, and they’ve helped shape me into a more thoughtful, grounded person.

I joined to share the Torah values I was raised with, but my partner, Randi, constantly reminds me what it means to approach mitzvos with sincerity and joy. Her commitment is uplifting, and our weekly learning is a highlight in my life. Partners in Torah has reignited that sense of wonder and freshness that comes with receiving Torah anew.

It's hard to believe that it's been 4.5 years since I began learning with Rob. I’m in Kiryat Sefer; he’s in New Jersey. But over video calls, we’ve built a beautiful chavrusa rooted in learning, respect, and growth. We’ve explored everything from halacha and Chumash to Jewish philosophy and daily prayer. Rob’s questions challenge me. Our conversations remind me why I love teaching Torah.

I joined hoping to create a spiritual bubble for myself—a way to grow in Torah, in my own language, at my own level. After months of waiting, I was matched with Hendy—and we clicked instantly. For the past three years, we’ve been learning weekly and pushing each other to think deeper. We don’t just learn—we talk about motherhood, identity, and what it means to live as a Jewish woman today. We even celebrated smachot together in Jerusalem and Paris.

I only joined Partners in Torah around five months ago! I wanted to share the richness and wisdom of Torah with my less-affiliated sisters. I’ve gained so much! I love the learning, the shmoozing and looking at life with different glasses on. I feel like I gained a sister! We banter, shmooze and learn and it's truly a highlight of my week. Thank you Partners in Torah!
